Frequently Asked Questions
What is Create for Charity
This unique global initiative brings together 100 artists, each contributing an exclusive online art class, creating an inspiring and diverse creative learning experience. For a single fixed fee of $100, participants gain access to every class, exploring a wide range of artistic styles, skills, and perspectives from around the world. What makes this venture truly meaningful is its heart: 40% of all proceeds go directly to grassroots charities, with each artist choosing a cause close to their own heart. It’s an opportunity for people to invest in their creativity while making a real difference — one purchase that supports artists, empowers communities, and spreads positive impact across the globe.
Why give profits to Charity?
Giving to charity isn’t just about money leaving your pocket… it’s about what that money turns into. Someone else’s “small help” can be life-changing. What feels like a modest amount to one person can mean food, safety, education, or medical care for someone else. The impact gap is huge.
We share a world. Giving is a way of saying “your struggle matters to me too.” It builds empathy and community, even across countries and cultures. Charity doesn’t just solve one problem. Education leads to jobs. Health support strengthens families. Community programs reduce long-term hardship. One act can echo for years. Governments and big systems help, but gaps always exist. Charities step into those gaps — and they can only do that when people choose to contribute. I was a charity that was in a gap. While I lived full time in Nepal with my family I struggled to be raising the funds required to run our programs! So I started Create for Charity and started running 3-4 online Art retreats a year to help our budget. Now I wish to broaden that to including many grass roots chariities and many fabulous Artists.
Why give 40% profit to Charity?
There are many products on the market that offer to give a small percentage of the profits to charity. Many charities benefit greatly from programs that give back like this and are very greatful.
Due to the set up of our organisation and that as a registered Charity we already cover many of our admin fees in the running of our programs. Therefor without these costs we are able to give back more to charity than any other organisation in our industry.
We are transparent in saying that the program is self sufficient in that it pays all of the costs in running this program.
Each year we will share with your , our friends how much we successfully donated to charity.
Why Online Art Classes?
No travel, no rushing — just log in from home and create in your own comfortable space. Online classes fit around work, family, and life. You can learn at your own pace and revisit lessons whenever you need. You’re not limited to local teachers. Online learning connects you with different styles, cultures, and techniques from around the globe.
Step-by-step guidance helps remove fear and builds skills, helping you trust your creative instincts. Art reduces stress, improves focus, and offers a calming mental break from daily pressures. Pause, rewind, replay. You can truly understand each step instead of trying to keep up in a live setting. Even online, you’re part of a shared creative journey — seeing others’ work, gaining inspiration, and feeling connected. Online art classes make creativity accessible, flexible, and empowering — opening the door for anyone to learn, grow, and enjoy the creative process.

Our Social Media
This year we have decided to open up a private FB group for you creatives that have bought the classes. Something that has also come of these classes is friendship. We would like to keep encouraging that. So have a safe online space where we can share what we have created and encourage others. In the private login area you will find a link to the group and look forward to meeting you there.

Who is the founder of Create for Charity?
My name is Anne Whitlock – founder of Kriayt Social Business. Our programs create stronger, more confident people that in turn go on to create change. Kriayt programs offer skills, education and opportunities for women and children to gain empowerment. We share programs that are designed to educate and honour our participants so they can draw on their own power, creating true self empowerment.
Create for Charity was founded for the need to raise the funds for our programs while living in Nepal helping local women to engage, manage and implement the programs.

What charity are you supporting?
This year we are branching out and including more charities. 15% of the allocated funds will be going to our main charity Kriayt Social Business. Kriayt is a for-profit social business, combining business know how with the desire to address social issues. We directly support the empowerment of women. Our success is measured by the social impact made rather than high profit margins. Kriayt offers an enabling environment where Women learn skills, earn a reliable income and gain the confidence to be independent. We fund from charity all our training programs so the women can go on to be part of the business. Kriayt also has an emergancy needs fund for our surrounding community.
25% of the funds will be shared amongst charities chosen by our contributing Artists. In each Artist’s profile we will be listing who their charity of choice is so that you know by supporting your favourite Artists their charity will be recieiving much needed funding. They may choose our charity or one they already resonate with.
100 classes is a lot to complete!?
Yes, we agree and while we know there will be a sneaky few that manage them all – not everyone will. The 100 for 100 was not created as an offering to finish everything. Our goal was to find just the right mount of Artists to interest everyone. If you complete 4-5 of the classes, you have more than got your monies worth! The total value of the classes is over $4500rrp and you pay only $100. So to finish your top 5 favourites is your first goal.
You have access to the classes for 12 months so you could also spread them out over the year to get even more done.
WHY practice Art ?
Talent is lovely, but repetition builds confidence. Regular practice trains your eye, your hand, and your decision-making. Things that once felt hard start to feel natural — and that progress is incredibly motivating. Creating is grounding. It lowers stress, gives your mind a break from daily worries, and helps express feelings you might not have words for. Art time can be a form of self-care.
Lessons gently push you to try techniques or styles you wouldn’t attempt alone. That stretch is where real development happens. The more you practice, the more your unique style starts to show. Art stops being imitation and becomes expression. Like a muscle, artistic ability strengthens with use and stiffens with neglect. Regular lessons keep the creative flow open.
Learning alongside others — even online — builds community. Sharing work, seeing different approaches, and being inspired by others keeps creativity alive. Practise turns interest into ability, and lessons turn ability into confidence. And that confidence often spills into the rest of life to.
